Final Preparations

For whatever reason I decided while flying home from NECC in Atlanta to create a custom (well, semi-custom) travel-blog from my upcoming vacation to Mongolia. Upcoming as in 3 days from now! Happily, I seem to have all the necessary modules and such to build a drupal 5.1 site on my laptop (thanks to xampp) and then I'll deploy it when I'm back online. I'm thinking I'll be a custom domain as well then I'll be able to push it out to many folks and not have to mess with my current blog.

For the most part, my intent is simple: create a very simple blog that will also display my flickr feed of photos as I get them uploaded. I want to enable comments and (with a bit of luck) will be able to engage in a bit of dialog with friends, colleagues, etc. while I'm traveling.

Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to hearing from you.
